1.Press the Windows + S keys to open the Windows search bar.
2.Type Windows Defender Firewall.
3.Select the desired option.
4.Now, on the left panel, select the Advanced settings option.
5.The Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security console will open on your screen.

6.Select the Outbound Rules option on the left panel.
7.On the right Actions panel, select the New Rules option.
8.The New Outbound Rule Wizard will open on your screen.
9.Now, you can create a new rule to control the connections of programs.

10.Click on the Program option.
11.Select the Next option.
12.So, you can select this option for all programs or one specific program.

13.Select the This program path option.
14.Browse to the path of the specific program you want to block.
15.Click on Next.
16.Click on the Block the connection option and click on Next again.

17.Specify when will this application is to be blocked from the internet.
18.Then, click on Next.
19.At the end, enter the name of the Rule and click on Finish.

How To Disable A Program Temporarily From The Internet?

If you want to disable the program temporarily, but don’t want to block it, then follow the steps:

1.Open the Windows Defender Firewall again.
2.Select the Allow an app through Windows Firewall located on the left panel.
3.Then click on the Change settings option.
4.The Allowed apps console will be on your screen.
5.Locate the app you want to disable in the Allowed app list.
6.If the app you want to disable is not listed, then select the Add option.
7.Locate that program.
8.Uncheck the box beside the targeted program.
9.Click on OK to save the changes.
10.The programs that are unchecked will be blocked temporarily.

How To Allow Disabled Program Through The Firewall?

To enable the disabled apps in the firewall, just check the boxes of the apps in the Allowed apps console. Bu checking the boxes, the app will get internet access.
