1.Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc simultaneously from the keyboard.
2.From the Process tab, locate the Discord-related programs.
3.Right-click on each Discord task and select the End Task option.

Method 2 – Delete Discord AppData Folders:

To delete Discord app data, follow the steps given below:

1.Open Run Utility by pressing Windows + R to open the Run Utility.
2.Type or copy-paste %AppData%
3.Press the Enter key.

4.Delete the Discord folder from the folders list.

5.Again open the Run utility.
6.Type or copy-paste %LocalAppData%.
7.Press the Enter key.

8.Delete the Discord folder.
9.Restart the PC.

Method 3 – Reinstall Discord:

Try to install Discord application after deleting the Discord appdata. To do so:

1.Open Run again.
2.Type appwiz.cpl in the command box.
3.Press Enter to open the Programs and Features window.
4.Right-click on Discord and select Uninstall.

6.Now, go to the Official site of Discord (https://discord.com/download).
7.Download Discord.
8.Then install it on your device.
9.Check if you can set up Discord installation without any problem.
10.If the problem is still there, then try out the next solution.

Method 4 – Install Discord in Safe Mode:

Try to install Discord in safe rather than in normal mode. This mode provides the minimum features and functionalities, so that it will not conflict with the other programs. To install Discord in safe mode:

1.Type System Configuration in the Windows Search bar and select the top option.

2.Go to the Boot tab and click on the Safe boot check box.
3.Next, click on OK.

4.When prompted, choose the Restart option to enter into the Safe Mode.
5.Install Discord, after entering into the Safe Mode.

Method 5 – Run Discord In Compatibility Mode:

You can also use the compatibility mode to run the discord, if you have any Discord related issues. To do so:

1.Right-click on the Discord Desktop icon.
2.Select Properties.
3.Select the Compatibility tab.
4.Click on the check box for Run this program in compatibility mode.
5.Select the suitable Windows Version from the given list.

Method 6 – Disable Firewall:

Sometimes Discord gets block by the firewall, so disable it while using the Discord app. To do so:

1.Type Windows Defender Firewall on the Windows search box.
2.Select the appropriate option.

3.Select the Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off option from the left side panel.

4.Turn off Windows Defender Firewall for Private and Public network settings.
