Method 1 – Run The DISM And SFC Scans:

To run the DISM scan:

1.Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run utility.
2.Type cmd.
3.Press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open an elevated Command Prompt.
4.Now, type the following command:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press Enter.
5.The scan may take some time.
6.Do not close the command prompt before the scan finishes.
7.After the scan finishes, restart the computer.

To run the SFC scan:

1.Open an elevated Command Prompt again.
2.Type the following command:
sfc /scannow and press Enter.
3.This scan will also take some time.
4.Don’t close it until it is finished.
5.Finally, restart the computer.

Method 2 – Uninstall Wireless Drivers:

This error can be caused by conflicting or corrupted drivers. If you are upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8 or 10, then the wireless drivers of Windows 7 are known to not work in Windows 10. So, you have to install the wireless drivers before updating the Windows. To uninstall the wireless drivers:

1.Open the Run utility again.
2.Type devmgmt.msc
3.Press Enter.
4.The Device Manager will open on your screen.
5.Locate your wireless drivers.
6.Right-click on them.
7.Select the Uninstall option from the pop-up menu.
8.Also, locate the Bluetooth adapter and uninstall it.

Method 3 – Change the Startup Type Of Some Services:

To fix this error change the startup type of BITS, Windows Update Service, and Cryptographic service to Automatic. To do so:

1.Open the Run utility again.
2.Type services.msc
3.Press Enter to open the services app.

4.Locate the following services and do steps 4-9 for each of them:
-BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service)
-Windows Update Service
-Cryptographic Service
5.Right-click on the service.
6.Select the Properties option.
7.Click on the drop-down menu in the Startup type section in the General tab.
8.Select the Automatic (not Automatic Delayed Start) option.
9.Finally, click on Apply and OK to save the changes.
