This error appears when you choose the premium version of TeamViewer and don’t pay for it after 14 days of trial. How To Fix TeamViewer Trial Version Expired Error?
Step 1 – Uninstall TeamViewer:
The first thing that you have to try is to uninstall the Uninstall TeamViewer completely from your system. To do the uninstallation, follow the steps given below:
1.Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run utility.
2.Type appwiz.cpl
3.Press Enter to open the Programs and Features panel.
4.Locate the TeamViewer among the other listed apps and right-click on it.
5.Select the Uninstall option.
6.The Uninstallation wizard will appear on your screen.
7.Check the Remove Settings box and proceed with the uninstallation.
8.Wait for the uninstallation to get completed.
Step 2 – Delete Residual TeamViewer Files:
After the uninstallation of the TeamViewer, delete the residual files. To do so:
1.Press the Windows + E keys to open the File Explorer.
2.Navigate to the following folder:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming
3.Locate the TeamViewer folder and right-click on it.
4.Select the Delete option.
5.If any UAC prompt pops up, click on Yes.
6.Next, navigate to the following folders and delete the TeamViewer folder, if any of them are there:
C:\Program Files
C:\Program Files (x86)
Step 3 – Delete Residual Registry Keys of TeamViewer:
After deleting the residual files, you have to delete the residual registry keys. Do this with great care, deleting any other important key can lead to a complete system crash. Before doing this step, make a backup of the registry keys to avoid any mishap. To delete the TeamViewer registry, follow the steps below:
1.Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run utility.
2.Type regedit.
3.Press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
4.Navigate to the following key:
Computer/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/TeamViewer
5.Right-click on the TeamViewer subkey.
6.Select the Delete option.
7.Next, navigate to the following key:
Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/WOW6432Node/TeamViewer
8.Again delete the TeamViewer key.
9.Close the Registry Editor.
10.Restart your PC.
Step 4 – Install TeamViewer Free Version:
After completely removing the premium version of TeamViewer, download the free version from their official website. After downloading, run the installer. Do remember to choose custom install and check the box ‘No, I only need TeamViewer for personal use’ option.
