How To Create A System Restore Point?

The first step is to set up System Restore in Windows 10. It is required to turn on System Restore and enable it for drive C: or any specific drives. To do so:

1.Click on ‘Start’.
2.Type ‘Restore’.
3.Click on ‘Create A Restore Point’.
4.You will see the ‘System Protection’ tab, System Protection Settings section with all ‘Available Drives’ on your computer.
5.On the right side, the drives are labelled with ‘On’ and ‘Off’.
6.It tells whether ‘Protection’ is enabled or disabled for the drives.
7.The drive C: is already protected in the above image. It means that this drive is enabled for System Restore.
8.Now, we will create System Restore for drive D:
9.Select the drive.
10.Click on ‘Configure’ to turn it ‘On’.

11.Select ‘Turn On System Protection’.
12.Set ‘Max Usage’ to limit your hard disk space for storing data.
13.Click ‘OK’.

The next step is to create a System Restore for the selected drive. To do so:

1.Select the drive D:
2.Click on ‘Create’.

3.A dialog box will open.
4.Type a description of your restore point

5.Type it and Click on ‘Create’.
6.It will take some time.
7.Then, click on ‘Close’.

8.Your System Restore Point is created.
